New to the forum

Don't know if I'm in the right spot for an intro post, but I was shown this forum by a member here and was interested in joining. Being African-American myself and not knowing Russian so I have to use microsoft translator to get around and read anything, but I'll also post my words translated. 8)

Афро-американец сам и не зная Русский так что я должен использовать microsoft переводчик обойти и читать что-нибудь, но я буду также должность мои слова переводится. 8)

Yeah, I lurked here before and had some trouble translating some posts, but always tried to get the general meaning of them. I'll be sure to within the rules to.

It makes sense actually. Still, both engines translate from English into Russian and vise versa rather poorly... To put it mildly. :D

That's because the structure of russian language is rather unique and hard to grasp, yet implement in translator engine. Free word order, many meanings of pretty much every word, same word can even have a different type in russian compared to english, representing not an action, but a subject or feature... For me for example, it's easier to understand english translation of japanese text, than straight russian translation.

I'm not sure you'll find these boards of any worth, translator engines are lightyears away from being minimally adequate, but heck - you can try. (:
